BUILDING A MINISTRY

When my dear friend Brandi approached me with a vision to start a women’s ministry, I knew immediately it was something special — and divinely inspired. With her background in law, education, and writing, and my own passion for branding, storytelling, and creative strategy, we knew we could create something both spiritually rich and visually rooted. Together, we launched Walking As Ruth, a growing faith-based community for women who feel called to deepen their relationship with Christ.

From the very beginning, the name “Walking As Ruth” resonated deeply with both of us. Inspired by Ruth’s faithfulness and strength, we envisioned a space where women could walk boldly in their faith and grow in grace — together. I translated this vision into a warm, earthy brand identity that reflects both the pastoral beauty of Ruth’s story and the quiet strength of the women we serve.

Brand Development

  • Designed an emblem that combines a woman’s silhouette with a wheat motif, symbolizing harvest, humility, and hope — all central to Ruth’s journey.

  • Chose a color palette of gold, green, and soft pinks, honoring Brandi’s favorites while grounding the brand in serenity and nature.

  • Developed custom typography to feel elegant and expansive — strong enough to stand alone or alongside the emblem.

Marketing & Expansion

  • Built and launched a responsive website, including a blog, devotionals, event pages, and downloadable scripture tools.

  • Created and managed branded content across social media, email, and community platforms — growing a small but engaged following entirely organically.

  • Led creative direction for our first successful in-person events, with strong attendance and positive word-of-mouth driving continued growth.

  • Developed templates and brand systems so the ministry could scale efficiently on a lean budget, with future expansion in mind.

Though still young, Walking As Ruth is already becoming a source of truth and encouragement for women of all ages — and we’re just getting started. We pray that our work continues to reach hearts and bring more women into the Word, one walk at a time.
